How does my VA get paid? How do I pay for my VA?
Very simple process… the VA has a timeclock program to “clock-in/out” of work. Once a month you will receive an invoice from our office with a detailed spreadsheet of your VA’s working hours. We pay the VA and invoice you for their time worked.
Are there payroll taxes to pay?
The general answer is no. Your VA is a “contract” worker and is not considered an employee. The best answer is to check with your tax specialist for any unique legal tax situations.
Be sure to check with your legal and tax council for direction.
Can I just hire them directly?
No unfortunately. The VA’s that work for Evergreen Virtual Assistants are contracted to our agency and your contract also limits hiring them directly for a period of time.
What if my VA works overtime? Or less than my plans number of hours?
The nice thing with Evergreen is that you only pay for the hours they work. This is also a plus when/if they work over your plans limit. A monthly report will be sent with your invoice with actual worked hours.
How do they make free calls to the States?
All calls are included. We will set your new VA up with a “local” phone number from your area using an on-line internet phone service. Your VA will have a professional sounding headset to use while working for you. The telephone quality is very very good!
We do, however, recommend adding them to your agency's VOIP telephone service. Doing so will allow them to transfer calls to different people within the agency and have their caller ID match your main number.
